About Solaro Estate Winery

Solaro Estate is the culmination of generations of winemaking and passion for creating only the finest wines. The Solaro”S” stands not just for Solaro, the ancient residence of our family in Italy, but also the shape of Austin’s own Barton Creek as its waters border our Estate. The Estate has been in our family since 1909 as a working, self-sufficient farm dedicated to agriculture. With our rocky soil and the Texas heat, we knew the ultimate use of our family’s land would be vineyards. Inspired by Barbara’s roots in Franconia, Germany, and Robert’s close ties to his wine-making relatives in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, we got to work making this dream a reality. The Estate vineyards you see today are the result of detailed planning and using the most ultra-modern equipment and finest technology, the winery was specifically designed to maximize the production of limited quantities of complex and exquisite wines.

Solaro Estate expands high above the clear spring waters of Barton Creek in harmony with vineyards, Thouroughbreds, Angus cattle and spectacular vistas of the Texas Hill Country. Super-reserve collections from vine to glass are the product of our terroir Winery and Oak Barrel Cellar.
