Pedernales Cellars is Texas’ leading producer of authentic, handcrafted wines, including benchmark Tempranillos and Viogniers. Family owned & operated, Pedernales Cellars is dedicated to world-class wines, sustainable practices, and Texas Hill Country hospitality. Visitors can tour the underground barrel cellar, then relax with a glass of wine on the tree covered deck with breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country. Members of the Pedernales Cellars wine club have exclusive access to a charming lounge located in an 1880’s farmhouse at the estate.
What Makes Pedernales Cellars Unique
The Kuhlken family has been growing grapes in the Texas Hill Country since 1995 when Larry and Jeanine first planted. Their children, Julie and David, founded the winery in 2006 and produced their first wine in the same year, a 2006 Family Reserve. They opened their tasting room door to visitors in 2008, and offer a premier experience of 100% Texas wines overlooking picture perfect views of the Hill Country. They have been awarded Top Texas Wine three times in the last six years by the HLSR International Wine Competition, Double Golds on multiple occasions at the San Francisco International Wine Competition, and Grand Gold at the Lyon International Wine Competition.
