About Limestone Terrace Vineyard
Limestone Terrace Vineyard is beautifully situated in Wimberley, Texas in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Here we grow three different types of grape varietals; Mourvédre, Sangiovese, and Albarino to bring flavors traditionally known from Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Additionally, we source grapes from exceptional grape growers in the Texas High Plains. We work closely with these vineyards year-round in order to produce the highest quality wines in the state of Texas.
What Makes Limestone Terrace Vineyard Unique?
Our name, Limestone Terrace, comes from the topography of our property. It has a limestone rock shelf that cascades down into flat acreage providing soil full of rich nutrients and minerals to the vineyard below. On the west side of our property, there is a wet weather creek. This combination of the wet weather creek with the limestone rock shelf has created an ideal terroir for growing grapes. The limestone terrace itself is partially integrated into the vineyard and the top offers a dazzling view of our unique property. Beautiful to view with a glass of wine in hand or taste in our new barrel room amongst our aging wine. Our winemakers strive to make high quality wines for any palate.
