2019 Spring Texas Wine Festivals

Spring has officially sprung, kicking off the festival season. Across Texas, there are numerous wine festivals happening throughout April, May, and early June, offering wine enthusiasts from near and far a true taste of The Lone Star State’s unique terroir.

If you’re ready to explore all that Texas has to offer the wine community this spring, here’s what you need to know.

Texas Wine Festivals Happening This Spring

Across the state, there are wine-related events and happening all season. With dozens of events to choose from, regardless of where you reside in Texas, you can enjoy the beautiful weather and more importantly, local wines.

  1. Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Festival

When: April 12- 14th

Where: Perini Ranch in Buffalo Gap, Texas

With a theme of The Great American Road Trip – and with a love of all things beef, they are highlighting both quintessential American cuisines paired with great Texas Wines featuring Grape Creek Vineyards, Flat Creek Estate, and William Chris

 

  1. Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival

When: April 12th

Where: American Windmill Museum Lubbock, Texas

Celebrate the culture of grape-growing and wine-making in the Lubbock area! Attendees will be tasting wine made from high plains grapes and will feature only Texas Wines! Participating wineries include: Bingham, Farmhouse, Lost Draw, Messina Hof, Pedernales, and William Chris

 

  1. Rootstock Wine Festival

When: April 13th

Where: Brazos Park East Waco, Texas

15 of the finest Texas wineries, local chefs, live music, lawn games and good times featuring Pedernales, Hye Meadow, Lost Draw Cellars, and Farmhouse Vineyards

 

  1. Granbury Wine Walk

When: April 26 – 27th

Where: Granbury Square

Wine Walkers can enjoy live local music while strolling through the outdoor clusters of booths, each cluster offering Texas flavors in wine, food and art. The community gets into the spirit, as well! Proceeds from the Granbury Wine Walk benefit local nonprofit and educational organizations. Participating wineries include: Torr Na Lochs, Texas Legato, Flat Creek, Fiesta winery, Perissos and 4.0 Cellars

 

  1. 21st Annual Lavender Fest

When: May 4th – May 5th

Where: Becker Vineyards Winery Lawn

This is a celebration unlike any other! Taking place at Becker Vineyards. While wine tastings are most certainly a key part of the festival, you will also be able to enjoy lavender cooking demonstrations, lavender presentations, luncheons, music, artisan vendors, and much more.

Being the fourth-largest wine producing state in the United States, Texas now has more than 200 wineries and over 3,200 acres of planted vineyards.
