9 am- Introduction
9:15 am- Needed Expertise: grapevine anatomy, initial vineyard management, pest management, labor needs, variety & rootstock
10:15 am- Site Selection: vineyard location, water quality & availability, soil characteristics, vineyard topography, climate, affect of soil selection on insect & disease risk, site infrastructure
11:15 am- Vineyard Risk Factors: weather, underestimation of labor inputs, diseases, insects & other invertebrate pests, vertebrate pests
12:15 pm- Lunch
1 pm - Vineyard Labor and Equipment Requirements: vineyard establishment, production & management
2 pm - Vineyard Economics: vineyard cost assessments, accounting, bookkeeping, marketing, equipment costs
3 pm - Grower Panel Discussion
