Grape Stomp Your Way Through Texas Wine Country

Harvest season in the Texas HIll Country is in full swing, which means finding a Grape Stomp experience won’t be hard to find. During the beginning of harvest season, many wineries throughout Texas Wine Country host grape stomping events, where guests can extract grape juice with their feet. While events and festivals vary- we have compiled a list of the Texas Hill Country Wineries where you can find Grape Stomp events this August!


Chisholm Trail Winery | Pig Roast & Grape Stomp

Sunday, August 13th, 2017 | 12pm-6pm

Join Chisholm Trail as they host their Annual Pig Roast & Grape Stomp. Reservations for this event must be made by 8/7/17 and tickets are $20 per person. Can’t make the pig roast? They will be holding a second Grape Stomp August 26th 1pm-4pm $10/per person which includes a souvenir logo bandana!

Fall Creek Vineyards And Winery | Grape Stomp & Harvest Festival

Saturday, August 19th & 26th, 2017 | 11:30am-5pm

Fall Creek Vineyards at Tow on beautiful Lake Buchanan is proud to announce their most popular event of the year, the 28th Annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival. Adults can enjoy wine tastings, a celebrity chef lunch and demo, casual food on the patio, bocce ball, ping pong, tours and guided boat tours to Fall Creek Falls. For children, there will be plenty of fun activities, including a Castle Bounce. Grapestomp (stomping) is free of charge- however lunches, boat rides and tastings require advance reservation/purchase.

Messina Hof Hill Country | Daytime Harvest & Grapestomp

Saturday August 26th, 2017 | 9am-1pm

Bring the family out for a fun-filled day of picking and stomping the very grapes that go into making Messina Hof’s award-winning Port. Stay for the Hill Country Big Kahuna Contest, barrel tasting and special Harvest brunch. You’ll also receive a souvenir “Harvest Crew” t-shirt signed with your very own purple stomping feet! All ticket levels include grape picking and stomping. Tickets available at all winery locations or online.

Pedernales Cellars | Grape Stomp & LIve Music

Every weekend through labor day | 12pm-5pm

Celebrate the grape harvest by stomping grapes, listening to live music, and enjoying award-winning wines at Pedernales Cellars.  Souvenir t-shirts will be available for purchase for $16 (including tax) on which to place your purply footprints. Stomping is FREE for anyone who would like to participate!

Texas Hills Vineyards | 17th Annual Grape Stomp

August 18th, 20th, 26th, and 27th | 10:30am-5pm

Stomping is free to whoever wants to participate.  And, if you would like to commemorate your "stomping" experience at Texas Hills Vineyards, you can purchase a t-shirt and personalized it with your foot or handprints - stained in real grape juice, of course!

Becker Vineyards | 21st Annual Grape Stomp

August 26th & 27th, and September 2nd & 3rd

The tradition continues at Becker Vineyards!  Join in for one of the best Grape Stomps in the Texas Hill Country! The 21st Annual Grape Stomp is a complimentary event; and no reservations are required.  If you want to stomp in style, be sure to wear your best Lucy costume where you can enter to win “Best Lucy Costume” on September 3rd!

Wedding Oak Winery | Grape Stomp & Harvest Celebration

Saturday September 16th, 2017 | 11am-3pm

Purchase your tickets for the 1st Annual Grape Stomp & Harvest Celebration ( in Downtown San Saba, TX- there will be live music, Souvenir T-Shirt, GoVino Glass, Gourmet Street Tacos, and a complimentary glass of wine (included in ticket price). Wedding Oak Winery will be "stomping" on their crushpad behind Wedding Oak Winery and Old Man Scary Cellars so come out and help them closeout the 2017 Grape Harvest Season! Don't forget, there will be a prize for the best "Lucy" costume!

William Chris Vineyards | Grape Punch

August 19th, 20th, 26th & 27th 

Join William Chris’ winemakers for a fun, hands-on, learning experience. Each grape punch session is limited to 20 guests to give everyone an opportunity to hear about this year’s harvest and their winemaking process.
After a little orientation, you will scrub-up and punch-down freshly harvested Texas-grown grapes. Finally, commemorate your experience by stamping a 2017 Grape Punch t-shirt with your grape stained hands. $25/per person with advance ticket purchase required.


Hye Meadow Winery  |  Grape Splash

September 2, 12-4pm

Join us as we celebrate the first harvest of our estate vineyard. We'll have grape stomping, wine tasting and water guns. Pet and family friendly. Hye Meadow's Grape Splash happens Sept. 2.
